Not typically. I found that when I was setting up an efx chain for a nice thick 80’s chorus, I got a good result stacking two different choruses. But when I put a short plate at the end, that really sold it for me.
That’s my only rock band usage. When I’m all alone, making squeaky beepy, I love using long, weird, modulated, pitch shifted, or reversed reverb.

I do! Only when I play higher up the neck though. On the lower notes it might get a little muddy, but it can really add some depth to your sound.

When I'm playing fretless I like just the barest hint of reverb...but it's probably best to work with a verb that's designed for bass...one with a high pass filter on the effect so you don't get weird muddy stuff going on. my favorite 'standard' type pedal for verb is the Iron Ether Nimbus SE.

...if you want something that's a bit more advanced, the Dr. Scientist "The Atmosphere" is fantastic...it's got a bunch of different types of verb with defaults and you can save one of each...and control it with MIDI.

My 'old' setup had my verb and delay in sub-loop that's HPF'ed so that you only apply it above the crossover point and keep the lows clean and intact.

As much as I have the desire to use reverb (or chorus) on bass, it always comes down to the fact that it really doesn’t add anything beneficial when playing with an ensemble (IME). Yet, I really would love to make it work.

Its nice but cant hear it in the mix. I like a fat lush thick chorus instead...or a screaming jet engine flanger!

I do. I have an EQD Afterneath and Transmisser on my board. Obviously they're not for holding down tight bass lines, but I use them to spontaneously manifest epic soundscapes with fuzz and other stuff.

Everytime I used reverb, even just a smidge I get a little more buried. Same thing happened with chorus. These effects didn't fit me for Blues, R&B soul.

I have always favored a bit of studio or room reverb on bass just to add a bit of "air" to the sound. Other instruments and vox I am far more into using reverbs and delays on.

I like it but how well it works or not depends on the context. Reverb isn't one of those effects you can just turn on with your band and expect great tones most of the time you have to write the effect into the composition. That's when Reverb and Bass become HEAVENLY.

Or a lot of reverb after a synth. I use reverb quite often, mainly a Shimmer reverb (or two), gives my trio a fuller sound with the extra harmonics. Still really, really want a Ventris.

I like a little reverb and chorus on my voice, find my own voice to be a bit thin.

Typically I don't use any effects on my bass. I had a Line 6 bass amp at one time with a ton of built in FX but I found that everytime I dialed in something cool at home, it didn't transfer well to the PA so I just quit using them.
