Part of does want to put another pickup on the sentinel though. There’s so much room between the bridge and the pickup. You could get something near the stingray sweet spot pretty easy.

Highly recommend the Fatfish. Crazy versatile. Used it for pretty much everything.
jeff7bass - here's a thread concerning string tension. For me, it took trying different brands of strings until I found some that had the sound and tension I liked. Keeping the string tension up on short scale basses?
Got a Sentinel a few weeks ago and actually got to use it on an outdoor gig with my Orange amp. Love it! Ordered a bass EQ petal to tweed a few frequencies. Had shoulder surgery last year and the 4” and weight difference from my Fender Jazz has also been a huge help. Cool Mulberry Mist color.
I added a little bling to my Sentinel. Homemade Pao Ferro centerpiece with cream binding. Sharp eyed Sentinel fans will also notice I moved the tone control and added an output jack to the front. More convenient IMHO. When I purchased the bass I immediately put La Bella short scale flats cause that's what i had been using on my wattplower. Recently though I felt the tone was lacking. Kinda dead sounding. I just put on some Curt Mangan short scale nickle round wounds and my little bass came to LIFE!!! The tone control pot and selector switch are much more responsive now. This bass is a gem. I couldn't be more pleased.
How are people finding the painted necks on these? The bass looks about perfect for me, but I've never owned one with a painted finish.
As someone who vastly prefers satin over gloss necks, would that likely be a deal breaker for me?

The Fatfish I have has the maple neck, it's killer and the satin feel is great. I can't think that the painted neck would slow you down as long as you kept it clean
ive got both a triad with the satin maple neck and a sentinel and it doesn’t make me much of a difference going between the two.
I’m also looking to sell my mulberry mist sentinel if anybody is interested.
I got one four months ago and it quickly became my #1! I love everything about it and it’s the best short scale bass I’ve ever played. I also have an Epiphone Rumblekat, a Fender Mustang, and a Gretch Electromatic and this one is the BEST! (I had to change to short scale exclusively after 43 years of Type 1 diabetes my flexibility has diminished but I can jam a shorty without missing a lick!)
