Reverse vs. non-reverse tuners

I'm gonna change the tuners on my Squier JV, and have decided on the Gotoh res-o-lite GB640. Originally this bass would have had reverse tuners, but I really prefer "non-reverse" tuners. Are there any reasons I should stick with reverse tuners? Are they stronger? Any other advantages? Or is it just the same?

I prefer reverse only because they turn in the same direction as a my tuner meter- clockwise/right to sharpen. It just makes more intuitive sense I guess... lol.

Were it one of mine, I'd go reverse. Too much PITA factor for me in having one act different than the rest.
