Rewiring Help

Hey Y'all,
wanting to rewire my Jazz bass. And can't seem to find the thread that talked about a 'common ground'. I believe I have the term correct? Instead of wiring the grounds to the back of the pots....you wire everything to one point.

Can anyone point me in the direction of that thread or a wiring diagram for that style of wiring?

I have used the search function...but, after an hour or two of searching I am still without any leads.

Thanks for the help. And sorry if I have missed something obvious.

Trying to get away from soldering so much to the back of the pots.

Any particular reason for that? The pots need to be grounded and provide a large, solderable surface area.

EDIT: Anyway, as long as the grounds are connected between pots and the output jack, you can't do much more. You can also buy some copper tape and shield the cavity, running a wire from the copper tape to any one of the aforementioned grounds. That will help to reduce hum.
