RHCP- Return of the Dream Canteen

No, but thanks for posting that. I'm With You (har har) on the earlier release this year. I was so disappointed that I didn't give this one a listen right away, but I'll definitely make some time this weekend, thanks to your post.

Yeah, overall, me too! I had to do some painting yesterday, so I got a chance to listen to it a couple of times. It has a lot of By the Way vibe, which is one of my 2 favorite RHCP albums. I'd go so far as to say that if you didn't like that album, then you probably won't like this one. It's uneven, (it's the Peppers, right?), but overall way more enjoyable than anything they've put out for a while in my opinion.

Flea's playing is great and and Frusciante has some sweet grooves going there too. AK is in good voice and seems to have ditched the goofy affectations of the last album. Of course, Chad is one of the great drummers and he and Flea are the reason I listen to pretty much anything they put out.

As usual, there are three or four turds, but with an album of this length, it's easy enough to take them off the streaming list and you're still left with an album of respectable length and quality.
