Ric copies?

Mind you, that does look like it's been kept in good nick for a Ric copy...most of the Fakenbackers you see for sale in England have good few road miles on them since their birth in the 70's!

I don't know what bothered Ric more, was it the design copy or that the instrument actually played better.

I'm from Missouri so I'd have to be shown a copy that played or sounded better than a Ric.

Hi.

My repaired Herby Custom Bass.

This baby was my main bass for about 15 years, before I switched to Epi Thunderbird. (Mainly for the the rock look, I admit )

I bought the Herby from an insurance company without the headstock and, since I was in kind of a "hurry" and stupid, didn't check the headstock lenght correctly and so the truss rod cover is too long for that short headstock I made.
All these years I've been planning to do the repair again, perhaps even gluing the headstock straight this time, but have kinda grown to like it that way. And as it has been that way all along, I believe it stays that way too.

Half of the pick guard was also shot, and I had the brightest idea, , why not put blinking leds in there like in one of the lightshow rics that I had seen pictures of. Well, that didn't happen, but the clear matt sanded acrylic stayed. And been also like that ever since.

i believe i have stumbled upon one that one of my professors is selling....4001 late 70's ibanez for 250 with case....good deal or no? im afraid if i put the link someone here will snagalag it and ill have no ric copy and ive wanted one for a very very long time, since before i even played bass...
