Fantastic work!

I love the idea of using a thick fingerboard or even an additional lamination between the board and the neck blank to add the additional height for the bridge. It is certainly lower risk than thinning out the body side.

Out of mere curiosity, how much (€) would something similar set me back? ^_^

He's built what amounts to a Ric 4003w, which can be had in the states for around $1750, Which translates to $1642 euro, plus whatever import duties, vat, and shipping would add. What country? There was about a 6 month backlog for US buyers. But I think that's eased off now that the 4003sw is the "new toy" everybody is gassing for. He's used a hipshot Ric style bridge, arguable a big improvement over stock, and as you can see, done a hell of a job!

Sorry! Im an idiot. He's obviously a very talented luthier. I can tell from personal experience that Ric clones are not an easy build!

This monday I played the bass in a band setting for the first time.
I could easily compete with two (loud) guitarists ;-)

I could hear my self very well.

I don't know if the sound is typically like a Rick.

The bridge pickup sounds like a Jazz-bass.

But I did not put that extra cap in the circuit of the bridge pickup.

What kind of sound clips do you want to hear?

Just the standard sound clips will do, something light and easy like Heart of the Sunrise by Squire
Maybe each pup isolated then blended? Curious to hear those pups
