Rick 4003 Walnut build

As promised, here are the pictures!

As you can see, I did a satin finish on the bass.

He's built what amounts to a Ric 4003w, which can be had in the states for around $1750, Which translates to $1642 euro, plus whatever import duties, vat, and shipping would add. What country? There was about a 6 month backlog for US buyers. But I think that's eased off now that the 4003sw is the "new toy" everybody is gassing for. He's used a hipshot Ric style bridge, arguable a big improvement over stock, and as you can see, done a hell of a job!

This monday I played the bass in a band setting for the first time.
I could easily compete with two (loud) guitarists ;-)

I could hear my self very well.

I don't know if the sound is typically like a Rick.

The bridge pickup sounds like a Jazz-bass.

But I did not put that extra cap in the circuit of the bridge pickup.

What kind of sound clips do you want to hear?
