Rick Beato's uncle, Al, passed away in 1969, leaving behind a bass guitar that went missing in the 1970s. Years later, Rick's cousin Janine found a picture of a similar bass at House of Guitars, a music store in Rochester, New York. Rick's friend Keith Williams, who had done a history on the Fender Precision bass, saw Joe Bonamassa mention the same bass in a video, confirming it was Al's. Joe, who had purchased the bass from House of Guitars, offered to sell it back to Rick. Rick initially declined, but his brother convinced him to buy it for their family, as it held sentimental value. The bass was reunited with Janine, bringing closure to a 50-year-old mystery and fulfilling a wish to have a piece of their father's legacy back in the family.
