Rickenbacker 4001 saddle rocking fix?

G string saddle is rocking back and forth. Don't notice too much finger style but picking downward it is flopping around. I bought the replacement BA bridge but decided not to install after previous adjustment issue was resolved. I like the idea of staying original but if this bridge is going to continue to frustrate I have no problem making (another) mod. Any ideas or did I just answer my own question?

Go over to rickresource.com . I believe the problem has been fixed by the factory reengineering the saddles, and the factory boutique will sell them singly. The folks at RR will know.

The saddles currently sold by Ric don't have the rocking problem. If you buy a new set, you'll have to cut the grooves yourself. I recently did this and it's pretty easy. I used a combination of triangular, square and round files from a set that I bought at Home Depot.

You can also solve the problem by inserting small bits of foam or folded paper under one or both sides of each loose saddle. I did this on a Ric that I used to own. I cut tiny squares of paper from playing cards, folded them in half or in thirds, and pushed them under the saddles. Stops the rattling completely, costs basically nothing, and is invisible.
