Rickenbacker 4003 Colours?

I had a ruby red from Wildwood- beautiful color....great bass but a Ric was just not for me

I'd go walnut (color) with black binding and pg. Go for the checkered binding if you feel like splurging on the nominal fee. It's a beautiful combo.
Oh wait. Ric is so high and mighty, you don't get real "average guy" options anymore.
I guess pick whatever you can. There will be a million and 1 just like it. Black is good...Well, black is fair. Does show wear easily. Excuse me. Its Jetglo. Ok.

My 4003 Fireglo looks great compared to the neck joint on that Walnut Ric. There is no excuse for that blatant lousy QC. My Gibson EB 2014 that costs half the price of a Ric 4003 has a lot better QC on it.

I love my 3 Rics ... Thay all have 5 strings, a wider neck, and no binding ...

I like all the Ric color options including blue. I have a natural finish with a white pickguard - which is pretty common. I love the new walnut finish too. If I was going to get a new one, I'd get the walnut.
Well, I'm a fan of black basses so jetglo is a no brainer..however I have a '82 4001 in walnut(gloss) that looks like autumglo that I like a lot also..(that's a color that Ric should bring back)..I agree with you on the blue,I never been a fan of blue basses(of any brand)..the older fireglo is kind of cool but the newer version doesn't do much for me...so,that leaves mapleglo and the new walnut(with the maple fretboard)..if it were my decision,I would be torn between these two colors...sorry, I'm no help to you..
forgot about white w\black trim...love those too..another color Ric should bring back..along with the black trim option on all colors..BTW Ric5,love that black and maple
