I was wondering. A 2006 Rick + a toaster pickup "cover". what difference would it make? Would it be hard to put on because of the metal buttons on the pickup?

You can't put that cover on a regular hi-gain bass pickup unless you rip out the iron slugs. Rickenbacker does sell a bass toaster pickup: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

You could also buy one of their HB1 pickups and put that toaster cover on it. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I believe I read on the Rickenbacker fourm that someone cut their bottons off and put the hi-gain into a toaster cover to have the look of toasters,but the hot output of the hi-gains..You might want to go over there and ask. They're very helpful on that site...
