Really? They're certainly not light IME, but I have held basses that are a lot heavier.
I just traded my Maple Glo Sub 8 Lb 4003 for a Sub 8 Lb Midnight blue 4003. 2012 and 2010. I think they are pretty light these days. I fact I've owned 5 and none were heavy at all.
