Rickenbacker resonating question

I would bet it is your truss rods! Changing the angle of play reminds me of my now gone RIC. Playing it in "proper" playing position, it would play mostly fine. Lean back in a chair and it would buzz. Lean forward and it would stop.
Local luthier, after close inspection told me my neck was not cut right and it would never set up properly. Tweaking the rods had little to not effect.
I would have a qualified luthier do a once over the instrument. To me, you have a neck issue.
