Ric'O Sound for a jazz bass

Hey there!

I have a 4003 and I use a lot the Ric'O Sound feature into my HX Stomp.

I also have a jazz bass, and I was thinking to add a TRS output. The idea I have is the following :
- replace the two vol knobs with stack pots, so I can have a vol/tone for each pickup ;
- replace the tone knob by a rotary switch to select mono/stereo output.
I can keep the control plate, no holls to drill, and the design of the bass is mostly unchanged (juste replacing two knobs by stacked ones).

At this point I think : if I use a rotary switch, why not use a 3 positions rotary switch, so I can also have a serial/parallel switch for mono operation ?

After thinking a little bit, I came to this schema (heavily inspired by the Rickenbacker).

Do you think that's correct ?
In position 1 : mono output, parallel
position 2 : mono output, serial
position 3 : stereo output.

This is the first time I design such things, so I take any tips, remarks...

I Can't tell you if your schematic is correct, but I can tell you that I think it's a great idea!

It’s an idea - you might like it, you might not. Just know that, when you get into a place with a hum field, both outputs will hum, with no way out. I’d be certain to wire it so I could have a combined output for those situations.

A switch could be one way, but here's a schematic for ric wiring if it helps to see how they split the stereo pickup. Can't wait to see the results
