Can you give any tips on producing, polishing and seating those frets with spherical ends? I've always liked the look of them, but they must present some challenges.

What do you mean - using the seam to line up some part of the fret while cutting? pressing?I was able to use the binding/fretboard seem to line up the ends of the frets and that worked out great. If you're not doing binding you may want to make a guide line with masking tape or something to keep it all going nice and straight.
