most of motorheads stuff with fast eddie?
coz he said lemmy would make a "grrrrr" sound,so him and phil would have to work round it.

this is the main approach i take when i'm composing a song - a way to "get busy" without overplaying or clobbering the song. (not to put my stuff up there with the greats or anything
). pretty much every lord only song was at least partially composed with the bass line being an ostinato figure that illustrated the "color" tones of the key/chord structure, freeing the guitars to solo or play more interesting chords. i'm pretty much writing the same way with my other band too, although the guitars are a lot heavier.
give a listen to time out on Link Removed, for a good example of my take on it.
there's a lot of older primus tunes that are like this too, especially stuff off seas of cheese and frizzle fry.
probably the rush influence (was a pretty common geddy lee trick, especially in the 70's and 80's). i know that's where i got it from.
