Double Bass Right angle 1/4" TRS to Right angle female XLR Cable? MAS 18 content...

I'm usually pretty good at searching online for things, obscure or not (that was my job when I was a patent examiner), but I am having a difficult time finding a cable having a right angle female XLR and a right angle 1/4" TRS. I suppose I technically don't need the connectors to be right angle, but for the intended use I think having both connectors at right angle makes sense, and I'd rather not bother having to make it myself. But its looking like that is the way I'm going to have to go. I can find this type of cable being sold in Europe but not here in the USA. Here in the Sates it either the XLR or the TRS is angled, but not both.

My use is for connecting from a preamp's (like the Headway EDB-2) xlr direct out to the 1/4" TRS input of my powered MAS 18. My thought on dual right angles for the connectors is so no one accidently walks into and breaks the TRS in the MAS, and the right angle xlr out of the preamp to help reduce stress on the direct out jack on the Headway. Maybe that is overkill and I guess I could just use a standard 1/4" to 1/4" cable from the mono out on the Headway to the MAS, but I was thinking using a balanced output would be quieter. I thought about using adapters too but I was worried about any attenuation I might get by using adapters.

Does any one know who sells such a cable with dual right angle 1/4" TRS to female XLR 3 to 6 ft.

Any other thoughts?

I'd imagine that is a hard thing to find. Lots of RA 1/4" phono plugs, even TRS, not very many RA XLR plugs.

If you can find a source for the RA XLR plugs, would you consider making your own cables and patch cords? It would involve buying cable in bluk, a bunch of plugs and some tools. I personally don't do this because I can find what I need online, but there are happy folks out there who do this themselves.

Yes, I think that is really the answer and I'll have cable for the future...

A right angled T(R)S cable can make a lot of stress to the device where it is plugged in when something plucks hard at the cable. A straight one would be pulled out instead.
Similar to the XLR, but that one won't be pulled out.

I would use that only for a short cable that doesn't reach the ground or can be pulled away by accident. And this means make the cable yourself from parts so it has the exact length (plus a few cm) for your application.
