Hi All,

Its been a while since I last posted, just been trying to get some stuff sorted and basses started. I have 3 basses in the current batch and 2 of them are under way now.

6 string headless Custom with Chrome finish paint by Sims Custom.
8 string RIM Tapper
5 String Marseer Custom

BL-5 Q tuners for Ray's Marseer 5 which will look like Alex's Custom Marseer

What is the scale of the 8 Tapper?

Great to be back guys,

The tapper is 34 scale Nomad, should be a nice one with the simple Q tuner and EBS 2 band pre maybe, here's a shot of Christohe's bass from the front view, man ive got some work to do on this puppy!

So things are good and Im getting stuck in guys, all the best and cheers for the kind words. Loving the work some of you are doing also!

A lot of work, indeed! Is that body undercut, or just really close to undercut? Gonna be a whole lotta carvin goin on.

I would assume that's not the actual headstock...

Hi Guys,

Some more work done on Christophe's and Craig's tapper.Wings are cut for the tapper and fretboard has been trimmed on the 6 string headless, more next week and I hope to get started on Ray's 5 Marseer.

Robbie does the 8string neck have any tapper? In the picture seems that the fretboard has none at all but maybe thats only the angle at were the pic was taken.

Hi Eleonn bud,

The neck is tappered, 80mm at the nut to 100mm at bridge. Very slight but will work out well.

wow Robbie! I was excited when I saw you were doing new basses and I was not dissappointed when I read this thread. this thing should turn out awesome. in fact it looks like I thought it should, your RIM designs but without the fishtail. gorgeous.

Hi Guys,

Been busy in the workshop today, got the trussrod in on Ray's marseer 5 and worked more on Craiges 8 String tapper, Just working out the placement for the string ferrules and I'll be cutting the nut in. Going to try the 2 band EBS Preamp with the Q tuner Pickup, hope it works otherwise I'll fit a Dingwall switch and just leave it Vol,tone.
