Just updating you on the progress this weekend, ive drilled out for the controls of the Agi OBP-3 and the headstock has been drilled for the sperzel tuners.

Cheers Scotty! Chris came to see me over the weekend, he loves the progress on the bass and he also had his roscoe with him. Its the first time ive checked out a roscoe and man I was loving the feel of the diamond wood board and the Aluminium fret lines. gonna try to do the same profile on the neck.

WOW!!! What a beauty! I just absolutely l-o-v-e the body shape. Hmmm..... Do I see just a smidgen of C.Thompson influence?? If so,great builder to "steal" a little from. My favorite part of the body is the bottom(?) of the bass (down by the bridge,where the straplock is located).
Quick question: Technically,what is that part of the body called,on basses with the "flared out thingymajig"??
Also,the myrtle?? Lovely. What other common tone woods does the black limba remind you of?? Ash? Maple? Alder? Or what?

Glad you guys love the progress on the Marseer, Liam bud defo get back to me about a a Jazz in the future, should be cracking on with them asap. Also Mills bud the rear of the bass is called the rear bout or butt, the limba is similar in tone to Mahogany. Indeed CT basses are an influence on my designs and I also love Ken Lawrence and aries basses.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update on Shep's bass, ive been working on the setup today. Its taking shape nicely, just needs a little dress on the frets and the nut cutting alittle more and we should be good to go. Should be starting on the oil finish late next week.
