RIP Chris Cornell - Soundgarden/Audioslave

I remember when this song came out and it surprised people because it was so different from what he did in Soundgarden. One of the best rock vocalists of all time. I don't think it's even debatable.

Wow, I'm in shock. My wife and I saw him last July on the Higher Truth tour, and it was one of the best solo concerts I've been to. He left it all out on the stage, and I was looking forward to his next tour, because my 8-year old son wanted see him live (he's a big fan of his). Say hello to heaven, Chris. You'll be missed

This song shows Chris Cornell at his best. He was at the peak of his vocal skills.

Soundgarden was the first of the Seattle bands I got into. Louder Than Love and Badmotorfinger were on constant rotation when I was in high school, and they'll always be important records to me. This one hurts.

Always sad to hear, and damn, 52 is way too early.

I was never much of a Soundgarden fan but, I enjoyed his solo albums as well as Audioslave and Temple of the Dog immensely. That's just too shocking.

Same as me eating breakfast at a hotel. I met him in the early days as my bands did shows with all the Seattle bands frequently he blew me away first time I heard him sing...crazy 52 is way too soon

I can't believe that. Definitely one of the greatest rock vocalists, and singer in general, and a huge influence. Not just musically, but even in my life. My girlfriend and I bonded early on over shared musical taste and Soundgarden was always one of our favorite groups; I got her Superunknown for our first Christmas together.
