Can't find an official obituary online, but according to Facebook and Wikipedia, guitarist Elliot Ingber passed away yesterday. He played on the very first Mothers Of Invention album Freak Out and later joined Captain Beefheart's band.

Aww, I just looked it up, details are sketchy, but I told my wife, who sorta kinda knew him; he was the boyfriend of her maid of honor for her first marriage.
