Jessica was a great bass player who was based in Austin, TX. Her technique was extremely elegant, natural and relaxed. It was as if she was meant to play the instrument. We shared a bill in Austin a few years ago and her playing was unforgettable.

This has me really bummed. I've known Jessica since my undergrad years. She was even a finalist for teaching at my school while I was a student there. We've since become great friends and colleagues, working with the ISB Young Bassists program together. She was a passionate advocate for young bassists and her loss will leave a hole only eclipsed by her impact on so many of us. Sleep well, friend.
