  6. RIP Johnny :crying:

His voice lulled me to sleep many a restless night! Late night tv wasn't the same without him.
  7. What a shame… Johnny Carson was always such a gentleman, and a perfect host - never upstaging his guests, and always making them feel so at ease on his show. His imitators have always fallen a long way short of the original - such a lovely man! RIP

And not a bad one either. There is video (somewhere) of him doing drum battles with guys like Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa.

  14. Heard about Johnny on the news just recently :( .

There was mention that in private life, Johnny was never very comfortable with fame. I did not know this ;) .

One of my favorite Carson skits was "Carnac, the Magnificent" :)
  15. :crying: ................. RIP Johnny.

A huge part of my life........ used to watch his monologue every night before bed.
