Especially with my new girlfriend w/ kids, this is kind of making me teary eyed today, thinking about my mom reading me Little Bear or Where The Wild Things Are.

RIP Maurice Sendak, your frank portrayal of childhood will be missed, especially in this p.c. world we live in.

A sad day indeed

When "Where the Wild Things Are" came out in theatres, I told my wife that we have to see the movie because the book showed exactly what it was like to be a little boy. RIP Mr Sendak, you will be missed

Thinking back on all my childhood years with the books and watching Little Bear on Nick Jr., this passing truly saddens my heart. RIP Mr. Sendak, you will not be forgotten!
