I'm sorry to hear this. I loved his show back in the day, and (as mentioned) his appearances on Letterman. I don't get to see Curb much, but I can imagine he was great on it.
I also had no idea until today that he was the older brother of comedic genius Albert Brooks! Makes sense now that I think about it. RIP, Bob.

That's too bad to hear. I just discovered his earlier work on the Bizarre! show over the past week actually after seeing him with Norm Macdonald. The man was a riot till the end!

The first time I encountered Super Dave Osborne was when he was a guest on Letterman. Letterman played it as a straight interview and it was hysterically funny. After I figured out the joke, I always looked forward to Osborne's appearances on Letterman.
Albert Brooks, his younger brother will always be one of the funniest people I've ever seen on movies and TV. Dave didn't have 1/100th the talent, (few do), but it is still sad to hear of his passing.

Just as a point of information, Super Dave Osborne was a character. The guy’s real name was Bob Einstein.

I remember him mostly from the John Byner-hosted "Bizarre" show. Good, over-the-top comedy. RIP.
My high school American Government teacher used to call me "Super Dave Osbourne". I'm still trying to figure out why all these years later.
