Have any of you other Ritter owners tried a bass with a Darkglass preamp? I'd like to get some opinions on how it/they compare to the Ritter Master pre.
I got a question for the Ritter owners of the world.
Johnny Lee Long (if you don't know who is, check out Youtube what a gem) does a review setup of the Ritter Roya and says that the output of the bass is very very low for a 18v active bass. Can anyone attest to it's low volume output (or does it have the same output as a passive bass) or did he have a lemon problem?

The Master electronics have a 15db cut/boost. So, in neutral position the output can be on the low side, but if it would be higher the +15db boost would distort the sound. You can adjust the output volume on newer basses

Well, I had only watched part of the video when I posted the above...
There were issues with the PUs. Warranty. New ones are on the way.

Is it normal for a Ritter bass to hum when the high and mid boost is at max? It doesn't matter whether it is in single or hymbucking. Doesn't do this in passive mode.

What exactly is a "Quadbucker"? And does is require a different preamp than the master?

I was thinking about a Zephyr too, but decided on the one above in the end.
Finally got the opportunity to get a Roya! About 90% of what I would've ordered if I ordered new/custom, and it was a great deal.
Question for those with Royas: What strings are you using? It was shipped with Fodera strings, but I find they stick to my fingers more than any other string I've used before. I've been using TI Powerbass on my other bass, but wasn't sure if their 34" scale would be long enough for Ritter's 35"

It's too gold! I would change all hardware to white or black! Personal taste of course.

thanks but I really like the look. It plays incredibly well and sounds killer - not too disimilar to the Roya I had previously. Very light as well - only 3,7KG/8,16Lbs and balances perfectly!
If anyone is looking for an outstanding Roya, I am letting mine go.
