That is the sexiest bass I gave ever seen

I am not good enough to even think about getting a bass of that magnitude.

I got these teasers from Jens today... he said he had a tough time capturing the Copper color of the instrument.....

Oh my GOD !!!

I absolutely LOVE that finish...!! It would look nice next to my Platinum, methinks... :ninja:

BTW, my custom Roya 5 is going with Jens to the My-Music Expo in Friedrichshafen, Germany, tomorrow and over the weekend, and then he'll ship it out to me...! :hyper:

is he hiding pics from you or do you have some to post?

Yea, the Copper foil finish would look great next to the Platinum, so you want to trade the Platinum to me LOLOLOLOL

The Copper is getting its clear coat starting this next week I believe. I told him to try some pics outside in the natural light.

Hehe, the Platinum is not going anywhere...! :p

I hope you get some better pics next week, I'm very curious to see how this looks in natural light, and with the clear coat. What is the fretboard wood, btw...? Macassar?

I only have the poor phone camera pic of my custom that I posted on page 8 here in this thread, you know Jens has been too busy and hit too many times by illness recently, so I haven't pushed him for more, although I think he has some somewhere. But I'll probably take a million pics of it when it arrives, anyway... :p

i popped in to "Bass People" (the bass store here in syd) and had a play of the 4 string Ritter they have in stock... (they also have a 5er) amazing basses!!! has anyone in the international community thought about taking advantage of the low aussie $???

i just wish it was all reversed so i could get my hands on some great gear for not a great amount of money!!

From my experience of living in Oz basses are dearer than here in the US - the exchange rate would need to be down around 50c to make it a cheaper deal once you add in shipping and import duties, etc.

He did send me a certificate, which says it was built in 9/2003 IIRC. Not sure how that fits in. Not that it matters much--the bass is in fantastic condition and a fantastic player (thanks Brian!). It's 34" scale, which is relatively rare for a Ritter. I'm still not comfortable w/the strings I have on it (F Bass exposed cores). I think I'll try some light gauge Fodera nickels next.

I recently changed the strings to the Fodera nickels--makes a huge difference in playability! The nickels just warm this bass up even further. You can just hear the wood. These are rapidly becoming my favorite strings.
