any relation between this person and the Okon model? I'd love to get an Okon someday.

From what I understand, he designed the Okon model with Jens - but don't take my word for it. I will say that it's a strange coincidence with the names if that's not the case...
You could PM him and ask, or just wait until he shows up here, which I think he will.

I agree, by the way, the Okon is an awesome design, and I hope to get one myself one day, also.

6 string Classic fretless here--quilted bubinga top, snakewood fingerboard. Serial # is 3202 CL6 FM. Not sure what that # really means, other than the CL6 part of it.

You got a really great bass there...! I can help you with a little info found in the serial#, and that is that the bass is definitely from before year 2001, which is when the serial numbers started using the two last digits in the year of production - mine has serial# 0636, meaning it's number 36 from 2006.

Actually, he used to have pictures of a few of the earlier basses in the history & owners' gallery on the home page, but there's nothing from before 2001 now...!

Climb's fretless is amazingly sweet!!!!!!!! Owned it a few times and each time I've sold it I have had to spend some alone time with it before letting it go .........

I have a Fretless Jupitor 5 Jens is building me for Summer NAMM. It will be a New Finish... in the metal mindset, but I new never seen finish.... I should have a couple of samples by the end of the week of the finish...

The Plat concept is my favorite finish hands down.. I played it as Winter NAMM and its a pc or work!!!

He did send me a certificate, which says it was built in 9/2003 IIRC. Not sure how that fits in. Not that it matters much--the bass is in fantastic condition and a fantastic player (thanks Brian!). It's 34" scale, which is relatively rare for a Ritter. I'm still not comfortable w/the strings I have on it (F Bass exposed cores). I think I'll try some light gauge Fodera nickels next.

Oh, I guess there must be special serial numbers for basses with certain changes from the standard options - yours has special pickups (look like Barts but I forgot what they actually are), passive electronics (? - or just very simple?) and 34" scale. But you're right, it doesn't matter, as long as the bass is great...!

its actually a basstec and a Bart. I have had two ritter's Jens has done this combo on if you look in my sold gallery.

Climb fretless is active, but its an active tone with a push/pull for passive.

Ritter Okon 0428 and Ritter Roya 0406 here. Now I am toying with getting a Ritter 6-string.

I remember seeing pictures of that yellow/blue one years ago and being in love. I'm so jealous of you for having that. Got any more pictures?

This is my Ritter Classic 4 String. I couldn't be more happy with this bass. It is the bass I had been waiting for since I started playing. It is as close to perfect as a bass can get. Plus it is damn sexy!
