All the good things swirling around about these has gotten me looking to try one. Anyone seen one in a shop in MA or have one they'd let someone try out? I am in Quincy MA but don't mind driving a bit to test one of these out.

There's probably one closer, but Charlie's Music in Hyannis has one on the floor. They are surprisingly good instruments, even though they look all beat up!

I was just in GC today and they didn't have any in stock. I want to say that Daddy's Junkyard Guitars on Mass Ave has one, but I'd definitely call them before making the trip. I never thought I'd say this, but I actually prefer the staff/service at GC in Boston to Daddy's. Everyone on the floor, particularly in the bass department, is so pushy! I try not to give them any business. Might also want to check Mr. Music in Allston.
Thanks Joe. I'll definitely give Daddy's a call. The GC staff in Boston was pretty friendly I must say, not pushy at all. Miss the old store though. I practice near Mr. Music and they didn't have one the last time I was in.
What does that have to do with anything? And no comment on Dave Certain, either.
The bass at Charlie's is sunburst. You could call there, maybe they more still in the box up stairs...

They had a Sierra at Daddy's in Dedham and I stopped by today to check it out. I was very impressed. Not a big fan of the pickguard or that you'd have to take it off to adjust the neck but other than that it was great. It did seem to balance a bit weird too but it may have just been the strap I was using. Found a sweet deal locally on one too!
