Looking to decide on a neck before the end of this weekend for a custom build. *I personally prefer the BE, but the flamed is HOT too so I can't decide so I need a push in direction

Roasted Maple Neck......Flamed Or Bird's Eye????

Birds eye tends to warp since it doesn't have anything close to straight grain. Flamed maple looks absolutely stunning as a neck. So my vote is flamed
It's amazing what some people will call "birds eye" these days. It can have just a tiny bit of figuring and it's "bird's eye".
Although the roasted BE is downright GORGEOUS, you see it more often on other basses like FileBass said. Well at least I have anyway, I don't know about other TB'ers. I think if you're working on a custom here might as well go with something a little less seen. To be honest if it wasn't for that little tidbit I would NOT be able to decide myself. Just sayin.
Thanks guys for the kind words of wisdom! Although the poll shows as of now BE with a slight edge, It seems like the guys choosing flamed maple are speaking loud and proud.... So I'm leaning towards this direction.... Keep the comments coming guys!!

Don't worry about warping. Sadowsky has two piece necks and the figured board will be just that, the board. Go with flame. Looks killer

I think flamed looks better on a neck than birdseye. You get all the effect of the flamed while with the birdseye you are losing some of the effect of it because of the width. Birdseye is best as a body to my mind.

I was gonna vote BE, but definitely Flame now
Definitely flamed maple now. I think the birds eye would look too crazy in comparison to the body
If it were my bass being built it would be flamed all the way. I do have two mid-90's Stingrays with BE which I just love the look of but the flamed would just look so cool with the grain of that coco top. My 2 cents.
