Rob Allen MB-2

I recently took part in a trade, letting my Mouse go and picking up an MB-2. Tuesday night I played my first gig with the bass and I've got to say I just love it!

Rob Allen makes an amazing fretless bass!!! I can't say enough good things about it! I love my MTD, but the MB-2 just has a flavor to it that is so sweet!

Best to always have a RA around. I sold my MB-2 in advance of a Deep 4 that should be done this month.

Try running the MB-2 into a Paradriver and cut the bass a bit and boost the mids at about 300hz. Or you can do the same on your amp if you have a parametric mid. You can get more cut and use it on tunes you wouldn't normally think of grabbing the RA for.

You've got my old one? That originally was Jerry's (VroomVroom). It is a *great* bass. And now it has black tuners (that's an older pic of mine). The only reason I sold it was I got a fit of gas and wanted another Deep.

I really love my MB-2. It is surprisingly versatile while still having that unmistakable Rob Allen vibe.

What's really cool is it got me back into playing 4 strings instead of 5. Don't get me wrong, I love my 535s, but 4 strings just get played differently.
