Quick question

First off, I am completely clueless about what these things are. I'm told they were used for live presentations so they seem like subs, but i'm not finding them anywhere online to know if they're for live sound or for a car so i figured i'd ask here and see if anyone has heard of them.

They're rockford fosgate speaker cabinets. They're each 15 in. speakers. They have speaker wire coming out of the back of the cabinet but there's also another cable labeled "Woofer Left". What is that cable? It has two prongs on it and a third spot for a prong to go into (great description, eh?)

Any ideas what so ever? Heres a pic of it:

Rockford Fosgate is or was a car stereo firm. These speakers may have been custom made for some sales presentations, trade shows, etc.

The cable is kinda cool - it reminds me of the German AC plug that makes the ground connection before connecting the AC.

The Woofer Right may be powered with the cable going to the passive Woofer Left one, like many computer speakers.

Whatever it is, it is probably not designed for playing bass through. Might work for PA, though.

Rockford Fosgate PA cabs are rather uncommon.
The cabs you have may very well be either car audio or marine audio.
That connector looks like it may be weather proof.

On the other hand, it could simply be that the cabs are a bit old, and that the connector is some sort of strange vintage deal.
