Last message was April 16th fyi. Turns out several people are in the same boat, saw one guy waiting three years.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. For the longest time THG has been the recommendation, so definitely looking for alternatives.

If it was Etsy and you had more reassurance that you’re dealing with a hobbyist side hustle would you be more or less tolerant?
Reason I ask is some guy making totally custom, hand made knobs is definitely going to take some time to respond. What do you prioritize when your day job boss gives you an assignment when you’d rather be playing bass?
I just received a beautiful hand crafted stand for my Champ amp. It took about 6 months which is longer than your knobs. But I immediately knew this wasn’t a global juggernaut manufacturer.
End result is this poor dude got hung with a few hours labor and material that he can’t resell because it’s custom.

That really assumes they are done, and in previous messages over a month ago they were done as well. If they were actually done, I just don't see his responses being like that.
He's never taken long to respond. Not sure where you even see that, responses were immediate. After I posted it, some guy reached and said he was going on three years.

Yeah, that is kind of what I mean, this has gotten pretty rampant with a bunch of household TB names. I can't believe Zon is down that road but..... Here we are.....
I used to deal with R Bass back in the day and it was just a lesson in how peolle can have great skill but really just pay no mind to how their own actions affect everything. Sicko.

I’ve worked with Roger on a few basses- he’s made wood covers for me. He does good work. The challenge is that his day job involves audio system installs that takes him away from his shop for extended periods of time and I think he does his best to keep up. This seems like an example where he couldn’t. He’s a good dude.

Just found this thread. I've been waiting on a P pickup cover from him since November 2024
Yeah man. I've already called him out for it once and he very sheepishly said he could finish it over the weekend. That was four months ago. Sent him another message saying i'm completely over it and want my money back. That was last week, haven't heard back yet. Seems like if and when you do get what you paid for, his work his really good. Otherwise it's just an exercise in throwing your money away

If you are on Facebook you can DM him directly, he’s always very responsive. Bear in mind he travels for extended periods of time for his day job and he’s often out of pocket. I actually spoke with him earlier today.

He'll still give you the same B.S. story of being out of town, it'll ship this week, family emergency, UFO landing on his car or whatever. Don't use this guy. He does great work, but not worth the aggravation.
