Rondo Music

:eyebrow: They're quite good instruments for the money but nowhere near that good.

Maybe not consistently. Some are better than others it seems. Many have minor cosmetic issue and nearly all require a set up on arrival. There are the rare gems from just about any manufacturer that are that good. There are also the occassional dogs, but in the case of Rondo purchased SX, reports of such instruments have a follow up post about how Rondo resolved the problem. But the SX line does seem to consitently have all the core attributes for a bass right.

Really good stuff. The Fender replicas are as good as anything MIM and their line of six strings is not to be believed. I have two of them-- a 6 string Brice unlined fretless that I picked up for $229 (with a real quilted maple top) and a 6 string fretted Douglas (cause they ran out of fretlesses) that I just picked up for $119! I guess no one like the blue stain model.

For the money, these are great basses. No one can even touch their quality of 6 string for less than $500.

If anyone reading this post wants to unload their fretless Douglas 6, shoot me a PM. I really want to try one!

On a truck somewhere headed to south Texas.
Maybe it'll melt the "Ice Pellets" we have forecasted for the next two days!!
