Here is my Classic Custom JJ, Serial #0000, Alder Body, Maple Neck, Bound Pao Ferro Fingerboard with Block inlay. Olympic White with matching Headstock, Aguilar 4J-HC Pickups and a East J-Tone Preamp.

One day I'll have a Custom Classic. I'm pretty sure it'll look a little like this.

I don't really play 4 strings much any more. I suppose if I had this maybe I would and just forget the low notes. Or get it in a 5 string I guess. Never liked a passive B string but I haven't tried a Roscoe passive B string either so...

I did. 9.5" radius.

After spending a few days to setup and let settle I can say the Roscoe classic 5 string J is a keeper.
I have gone through many, many basses and this is by far my favorite "Fender" style bass. Shoot, it might be my favorite bass that I have had the pleasure of playing. The B string is on point.
I will be bringing it with me this Sunday.

I have already started setting money aside for a 5 string Classic PJ. Since I got my Classic 4 JJ I have only played my SKB3005 once, the reason, the singer I was backing had all the charts in B. When I was at the Roscoe shop I was able to play one of the first Classic PJ 5 strings and was impressed with how tight the B string sounded. I went back a couple weeks later and Keith had made a profile adjustment to neck thickness and made an awesome playing bass, and the best way to describe it is, more awesomer!
