This one is coming to me. I would rather have had a 6 string but this was too good a deal to pass up. It has everything I want in a Roscoe except for the C string and I can live with that. The C makes reading easier since there is less shifting involved but, honestly, it makes more difference in the practice room than it does on a gig. Play Dotzauer's #22 Study for cello and you come to appreciate that C string.
The bass is cherry except for two tiny indentations on the back that do not show up in photos.
It will be a while before the seller and I meet and I get the bass. He will be visiting a town near me so we can complete our deal. He lives 384 miles from me. Texas is big, you know. I live in central Texas and El Paso is half way to Los Angeles from San Antonio.

Thank you, Scott. I will be selling some other basses to help pay for this one. I am also picking up another hybrid upright this week. I have been selling and not buying but two deals came up that I could not resist.

That is a scary statement coming from you. How many upright basses do you own?
Only two…. And my Azola EUB. Last thing I sold was my Shen Hybrid to pay for my first Roscoe build lol.
How does the in ear system on the pedalboard work in regards to hearing the rest of the band in your ears? Are you getting a feed from the board?
Yes sir. I get an XLR monitor feed from the board and I take the through out of my Kahn DI and run that into the other channel of the IEM. I’m getting mono mixes but it still sounds great.

Yeah it’ll be great. This piano black one (I think it was TB’er owned?) with ‘binding’ showing the natural ash underneath was particularly awesome.

Any word on if someone is going to be selling a particular Cocobolo top that is the best bass ever?
He seems to have slowed down on that, so HOPEFULLY he’s found what he has been looking for all this time… although he’s been moving some preamp pedals and I THINK he swapped some electronics (and possibly swapped then back again), but it’s all from what I see in the fb group, maybe getting off TB was good for him 
I have several questions; what preamp and Pickups provide a punchier and cleaner sound in the Roscoe basses. I ask because I bought a new century signature 5 and it has Nordstrand 3b and dual coils pickups and the sound is not clean it sounds like if you put a blanket over the speaker, kind of muffle. I have to crank the treble and lower the bass and mids in order to get it some kind of clean sound. I don't think is the woods, the bass has: wenge neck, Birdseye fretboard, ash Body with Koa top and headstock. when do you all think?
