Thanks so much. How are the necks font to back? I liked the feel of the mtd neck and how thin it is. I can't seem to find any to try near me even though I'm close to los Angeles.
I wonder if anyone else has ever paid for their new build in full then sold it to someone else before it was finished? LOL. I’m sure it’s been done before.
Asking "for a friend"? What's your friend got?![]()

That sounds amazing. I’ve tried a 6 string 3 times but it just never clicked with me (obviously trying 3 times) as much as I wanted it to.Custom LG 6, ash body, Boxelder top, BEM board and reverse slant Barts ala Jimmy Haslip. Wow sounds really cool when I write it out lol.
Shane did it once (with a Roscoe) and I’ve seen it done multiple times with other brands.
And I get it. Sometimes builds can take so long that what you wanted months or years ago is no longer relevant.
Or sometimes a used bass becomes available spec’d exactly like what you’re building.
Exactly…. Or you get a gig playing guitar and would rather buy a Rickenbacker 360 and a Fender Deluxe Reverb RI. LOL

I checked the magnet pattern of the pickups. I'm confused though as these are supposed to be quad coils, which I thought would be two split coils side by side
Okay, that makes sense then. Thanks!View attachment 4960274
Roscoe Bart quad coils have 2 parallel coils as you've pictured, just stacked 2 deep.
), the green wire should be connected to the sleeve on the jackMatt. The Green and the shield go together to ground. That can be anywhere in the cavity (as all grounds are common).
