My wife is patient, but she might lose it if a 6 came to the house a 4th time. Maybe if it were a different 6? My previous 3 tries were the same bass that I ordered new, sold and bought back twice after that. Zooming in closely it appears that the green wires are heat shrinked to the ground wire.Okay, that makes sense then. Thanks!
And is this wired correctly then? It looks like only the black wire is connected to anything, according to Bartolini (if I am reading it right), the green wire should be connected to the sleeve on the jack

I had a similar bass. Century 6, Bart jazz pups and pre, Wenge board, quilt maple top, ash body. Not a great pic but you get the idea.
Looking back at this, and Joe didn’t make a “common ground” joke… is everything okay over there?
