Roscoe Club

A ring for each string!

The last time they actually mattered you were still what, in your 20's? :D

Oof!!!

Hey, at least the QB that they cast off has one. ;) Oh wait, that probably doesn't make you feel any better, does it? ;)

My feelings on professional football, baseball and basketball could best be described by the old saying "don't let the doorknob hit you in the (edited per TalkBass rules) on your way out." I am GLAD for Drew Brees and, despite having been a resident of San Diego since 1982, have NEVER gone to a Charger's game and *maybe* 10 Padre's games. No problem with having professional sports, but I do have a BIG problem with the expected corporate welfare! If they have a decent product, let them sell it without dipping into other people's money. Since they cannot function without corporate welfare, there must be something wrong with their product. I have similar feelings about the corporate welfare system that is known as the NCAA!

Just MHO!

That's great Crash!

It's been 6 weeks since my TURP and I'm loving it too! It makes me smile every time I pick it up!:D

By my calculations I could have bought 6.5 new Roscoe's for what I paid!:jawdrop:

We may live to see the day where the USD is surpassed by a New Roscoe as the most popular standard unit of currency.

Or is it just another step in rehab to start measuring the costs in your life by comparing things to Roscoes? ;):greedy:

Did a little transplant this week. Well BamaBass/JOME77/Joe did the swap, I just supplied moral support and parts. Swapped the Nordy's for quad-coil Barts on my fretless six (see the avatar).

Much more attitude now. MWAH out the wah-zoo. So far, I'm real happy with the change.

I'm seriously thinking about trying a set of EB Cobalt flats on it.

Absolutely loving this bass! Sounds incredible with the Aguilars and Mike Pope Flexcore.

Pic of my entire rig. Using in ear monitors so no amplifier. One trip from the car to the venue. ;)

Gotta love that Roscoe Red! I've yet to hear the Aggie p/u's. That's on my list to check out. I have heard the Pope pre (in a Roscoe) and that definitely sounds really good!

I have the Aggies in my LG (1 piece Ash Body with Maple board) and they pair very nicely with the ACG EQ-01. I imagine these pickups would sound equally good with the Uni Pre. I definitely like the Aggies over the Bart Classics as they sound more balanced to my ears. This bass definitely has a modern tone, less aggressive mids, with a more rounded bass, nice highs which you can make sizzle if that is your thing. It took me a little to really figure out the ACG filter style preamp as it is different than the Alembic Spoiler I had years ago. I had to add knobs with a line for visual reference, this was pretty much a must. Now I can dial the tone in really quick.
