Roscoe Club

Hey Dave. I will say that as a Century guy through and through (I've owned LGs and SKBs and though I liked them the ergonomics of the Century just work for me) the Century HL works really well both visually and ergonomically.

I'll also second the Aguilar DCB suggestion for the tone you mention (deep with cut) and probably pairing it with an OBP-3 is a safe bet and will provide a nice alternative to your other basses in tone. I've put a set of DCBs in the bass below and it sounds awesome! I think alder/pau ferro or alder/maple (birdseye or not) would sound great.

I really LOVE how this bass turned out, FWIW, fantastic instrument.

Jeff, I just spoke with a guy up your way that is picking up your old Century Custom 5M. Sounds like it may have found a home....

My headless Roscoe dream bass already exists at Rocket Music:

I like SKB and LG body shapes best (a tie for first place) with Century shape a close second.
That is an amazing bass. Greg has nice stuff.

I am a big fan of Alder and Ebony and think it would really sound good with the Aggie DCB D4 pickups. I have those in my LG with the East Uni-Pre and it sounds amazing.

That is rather persuasive. I think I'm leaning toward the Century now!

Yeah! When is that?

Still not sure Dave. Probably in late Feb. or March. I'm afraid that the next couple months will be too busy for everyone for us to be able to have a good turn out. I'll post a date when we determine it.
When's the new headless Roscoe going to be done? It might be worth waiting on that to happen. I'd love to be able to check it out!

I was wondering if that is what happened as I got the same price response when I searched. I am a DR String dealer and I can't get the strings as cheap as you did through the Amazon special. I definitely pay less than the $34 price.

I just checked the link and they are back to $34. I must have happened on a one day thing or a mistake. I should have ordered more sets.
