Roscoe Club

I do have my basses covered.
And yes, she does know about "shipped to the office" and other tricks.
It's a beautiful bass. Lightweight, Hipshot tuners, Honey Badger pickup, side input jack, a fairly flat (front to back) neck and it doesn't really feel like it's 1.75" at the nut. Very comfortable.
Gonna swap the TI Flats I put on my G&L JB-2 a couple weeks ago for this bass and put these D'Addario nickel rounds on that. It's no Roscoe, but it's a good little bass for when I want/need a passive 4 string jazz bass. I ordered a Sadowsky outboard preamp/DI to use with it so it should sound pretty awesome.

Man, that was one TOUGH secret to keep. LOL

She actually bought it well before Christmas, but you guys were going out of town for the holidays so she asked me to ship it such that it would get to your work on Jan 2. Sadly, New Years got the best of me - I didn't realize that UPS being off those 2 days (NYE and Jan 1) would mean it actually got delivered on the 6th. Oy. Better late than never!

It sounds like perfection. The tone control works in active and passive and I’m very familiar with it having them on Devon basses. This one is more focused than any Roscoe I’ve played which I really like and the use of the tone control I can take it from modern to vintage in a hurry. I probably like the tone control with the Bart setup even better than I’ve had in Nordstrand electronics. It seems to be more even when switching between active and passive than the Nordie setup did. Overall I’m blown away.

So, the office called and said there was what looked like a guitar box for me by my mail box. This was curious as I hadn’t ordered anything. I went up and found it. From Greg at Rocket Music. Turns out to be a late Christmas gift from my wife.

Dude, what an amazing surprise! I love getting the 'big box in the office' email or buzz from the intercom at school. A Very Roscoe Christmas!

I just don't know what I did wrong.

I even bought my wife a new car this weekend.

...... Of course now that I think about it I can't afford another bass now!:)

Well Joe, your buying her a car was after this Christmas ( thanks Donny Hathaway!)! Maybe there is a new bass coming your way from her next Christmas, if you remain a good husband the rest of the year!!

There is still that King Koa that RocketMusic wants to sell. You can begin planting your seeds for that one, if it hasn’t already been snatched up!!
