I was ready to wait longer. I didn't "need" it for any gigs in the near future so that's why I sent it in now. The fact that Keith called the next day saying it was ready is just a plus. I've played a couple non-35 scale Roscoes and didn't hear an issue with the evenness of strings. One was a 32 and the other 34. I suspect that he's done the obvious (change strings and adjust pickup heights).
Outside of that I suppose it could be pickup related (weak magnet). Maybe see if it's isolated to one of the p/u's.
Worse case is it's neck/fingerboard related.
I don't believe that it has anything to do with the 34" scale though.

I had a 34" scale Roscoe at one point and I thought it was great. I do think the 35" scale Roscoes do have a tighter B string but the 34" was no slouch. If anything, the B string was probably more in line with the rest of the strings.

Over and over my friend. The great thing about the top load Hipshot bridges is that it's easy to take strings off and put them on again as you choose (and you never mess up the winding at the tuners).
I've got a set of Daddarrio Chromes that I've probably put on and off 5-6 times over the last 4-5 years. And they still sound great.
I've thought about trying flats on my fretted 5. I know people do it. But then I play it with the stock nickel rounds and think why mess with this. I have my Roscoe Classic P with flats (just got plek'ed and set up at the shop) for my flat fix. I like the rounds on my fretless for the mwah.
I've had a pair of TIJFs that have moved from my P to my fretless, and now on my LG3000. I first put DR blues when I got it which were great.
But I can't imagine a smoother playing combo than a Roscoe and TIJFs
I have been using DR Flatwound Legend Stainless Steel Round Core 45-105. Love them with my Century PJ. Even full tone across the neck and Motown thump with a clear tone. Midrange cuts threw with presents without being aggressive or distorted. The G string is not "gakey" when popped.
Be sure to put at least a 90 degree bend before you cut to length just like the Sunbeams.

Finally got around to a family picture with the help of my son. Please forgive the "lived in" background but my wife is a school teacher and we've had to create a space in the living room for virtual classes.
Well you inspired me to reinstall the Da'ddario Chrome flats on my Signature SKB-3005.
Man! I forgot how great they feel and sound on that bass!
