It was really a lot of fun. We started the morning at Bob Beermans Bass Violin shop where two former Roscoe employees Tony and Sanders work. Saw some incredible Basses there including a European bass from 1791. Then we headed over to hang with Keith and Kyle. They are doing some great stuff there. It’s understandable why things take a while because they doing everything themselves and doing an amazing job. We are fans of a very special artisan indeed.

While you're waiting, you could always do what some others do, and order some of these:

I have no affiliation with the endeavor, and prefer the stock metal Roscoe knobs, including the plastic umbrella knob for the bass/treble stack. However, I know some of you are always clamoring for this sort of thing, so there it is (even though some might interpret it as being similar to a moustache on the Mona Lisa, at least for a Roscoe bass).

I fell back in love with my SKB 3006 today by putting DR Pure Blues on it and taking the TI flats off of it. It had a great tone but the TIs just subdued the natural character of the bass too much. Now she is back to life and playing it warmed me up for some upright practicing. After dinner will be some Fretless time with my only mahogany Roscoe. What a great bass Sunday. :)

I can’t tell you how many times I install different strings, love them, and then a few weeks later I fall out of love and try something else and love them, then a few weeks later ….. :roflmao:

I think I must be bi-polar or something!:banghead:

I switched to the Pure Blues about 4 or 5 years ago. I used to be a Rotosound player.
