"How do you let this one go?" Indeed!

King Koa, King Koa, may you find a happy place in your new home!

So Scott, have you changed the neck of your new build to a fretted with the arrival of the Century 6 fretless?

No it is a Bartolini JB configuration and will be a different tonal beast even though they are both fretless Century sixes. I’m thinking I’ll put TI flats on one and the D’Addario’s rounds on the other. I still have the Mahogany SKB 5 fretless too. So I think I’ll have the fretless Roscoe Basses covered. Kinda just all happened without much effort on my part. It just seems to be the direction I’m heading. In August 8 of my 10 gigs booked are on upright so I seem to be doing ok without frets. :^0

Well there you go!
And you did say that you love trading basses!:D

Trading makes me a lot more nervous than buying when it comes to involving shipping. Twice I’ve traded for another bass. One came to me all damaged and I sent it right back. I did get my bass back, too. I was so happy that one turned out the way it did.
I’ve only once met up with the other person on a trade deal, but I only had to travel to a fast food spot just off the main highway in south GA. Still, I was nervous and cautious about being ganged up on, but Joe ended up being a nice guy! :D

He fooled you ;)

Bit the bullet, listed my Signature 6 fretless for sale...for now. I always grab the fretless 5 since it is more comfortable and I really get 'my sound' on it.
Then don’t feel bad. They’re just basses, tools of the trade. If one works better than the other for you, so be it. No guilt.
