Roscoe Club

First "play til midnight" gig in a while. Had Starbucks at 8pm just in case. #old

Is that a Greenboy enclosure in the background and are you playing through it?

Keen eye! It is indeed a fEarful 15/6/1, built for me by a nice guy in Michigan (Gigmaster Soundworks). Great cab. I amped up this time because (1) the band leader is retiring and sold the dual subs (we had a single rented sub), (2) we had a sub (no pun intended) sound tech and a sub drummer, and (3) I was the only one on IEMs in that country club for some reason. Same thing with a different band today and tomorrow, so I got to leave my car loaded up.

Good idea. That’s what I needed last night. First past midnight gig for me too. Lets see the rest of your lovely bass though @steelin4u

How was your gig? Doghouse or slab? That was my SKB jazz last night...couldn't find a full frontal of it on my phone, but it is the koa:

Beautiful bass Adam!
It almost looks like it has a face.

And on the “gigging until midnight” subject, I’d definitely need some caffeine to attempt that.
I haven’t had a gig longer than 2 hours in many years.

It seems many of our gigs lately (weddings and private parties on the lake) have been ending around 11:30. I’m not complaining. We actually do very few “bar” gigs with those 1:00 am closings. But even an 11:30 stop time with an hour strike time means a 12:30 departure for home. When the gig is 2 hours or more away that still sucks. Fortunately we’ve negotiated hotel rooms for some of those. But if it’s a Saturday, we all are in the church band as well so that means a Sunday morning service. That gets to be rough. Fortunately, it only happens in the summer and maybe a couple times.

I accidentally found caffeinated water at a gig this summer. I grabbed the only water bottles that had the pop up type top as it’s easier to use on stage. Later found out it was caffeinated water. In hindsight, I felt really good that gig. Energy, hydrated, but not that sugar hit like I usually get from Coke.

Better check with Scott.
Several Roscoe basses I've been eyeing sold on Reverb over the last couple of days.

Any of you guys the culprits?

You never know about this bunch of Roscoe hoarders. Some of us buy them in our sleep and don’t even realize it until the bass is delivered!:D

Might check with Scott!
