Because of Gas and a really understanding wife I have tried a lot of basses and sold some great Roscoe basses. I've tried most of the big boys out there and IMO nothing beats a Roscoe for the style of Worship music I play.

I’ve been playing mostly Roscoe’s for about 10 years now. I’ve tried a couple others here and there. I’ve played most other big name basses as well. My Century 5 is just amazing. I can get al kinds of tones, but I generally stick to one. No one complains. The neck feels so amazing. I truly don’t have to look to know where I am. It’s so comfy and natural to play. Truly an extension of myself. Corny as it sounds, it’s true. My fretless is almost as natural, I just don’t play it enough. I never liked/played a P bass until my Roscoe Classic P. If I didn’t “need” a B string for most of my gigs, it might take over my #1 spot.
That said, I do understand people having different basses from different builders for different uses. I guess if my main living was bass playing, I’d probably do that as well. But for what I do, my 3 Roscoe’s cover it all just fine. I could really get by with just one, but that’s no fun.

Nope! My new LG 3005 Standard Plus should be about ready and fortunately I didn't have to part ways with one I already had.Several Roscoe basses I've been eyeing sold on Reverb over the last couple of days.

Roscoe family, I need your help!
I need to track down a bass.
Some 10 years ago (maybe a little more) Keith built me an LG Custom 5, in 32" scale (I think I recall Gard saying it was the first 32" out of the workshop since the old MIDI basses?), which was spec'd via Mark @ Bassdirect in the UK. I'm lucky enough to have owned 6 Roscoes over the years, each of them holding a space in the nicest 6 basses I've ever played, but this one... on man.
The best way I can describe that bass is 'an extention of myself'. It made me more creative, made me play better and it fit me like a glove. Buckeye on Swamp Ash, Pau Ferro board on a maple/wenge/purpleheart neck. Diamondwood ramp between the pups. D-tuner on the E string. Glock/Bart electronics. Perfection. I also later added some custom Buckeye knobs to the bass as well. I toured with this bass in 2012 all over Europe and was in love.
Around 6 years ago, I had a finanaical crisis, following a divorce and redundancy. Painfully, I sold the bass to a chap in Spain. I regretted the decision immediately, but it had to be done in order to keep a roof over my head. Since the day I sold that bass, I've felt 'incomplete' as a bass player, even hanging up th ebass for a 2.5 year period.
A year later, when things were brighter (though really not bright enough to be spending that much money on a bass again), I hopefully reached out to the buyer to try and buy it back, but he had sold it on (if I recall, to a chap in Italy). I reached out them to to be told it had been sold to someone in Japan, for the purposes of being put in a museum or high-end personal collection of some form. I tried to contact the buyer but was unsuccessful in opening a line of communication. The forum these discussions took place through archived discussions a few years ago and removed all private conversations older than 3 years, so I can't look back over details I found back then. I have tried reaching out to the chap in Spain again, in an attempt to follow the same trail once more, but so far, to no avail.
In the last month, I have woken up twice dreaming of that bass. Now, as a man who rarely remembers his dreams, that is quite impressive. Though I still play a gorgeous Roscoe today, I'd give up more than I can explain to be reunited with 'my bass'.
So, I ask you all, if anyone has seen, or maybe even owns this spectacular instrument - please try to help me find it! I have considered reaching out to Roscoe in order to spec another 'identical' bass, but I know it won't be 'that' bass. A part of me, just needs that instrument.

Wow! Sounds like you’ve done all you can do to find that bass. Hopefully the current owner sees your post and contacts you. But the reality is that even if he sees your post he may also love the bass and want to keep it. Most of us relate to your pain (having regretted selling a really special bass).
My recommendation would be to contact Keith and have him build you a new bass with basically the same specs.

It’s certainly a consideration, but it’ll never be ‘that’ bass and the emotional attachment is as valid as the bass itself. It may well come to that as the next viable option, but I think it’s worth playing the detective card a little more and hunting a while
Certainly a dream spec Roscoe right there. I wish you luck, but yeah if I had it it would be hard to let go I'm sure.
Maybe the new bass would be even better than the old one. It would also allow a look forward to new and better times without looking back . .
I'm interested in if they'd still do custom 32" scale, and at what kind of upcharge, cause now I've seen it this spec isn't leaving my head.
