Rotosound 66 for 5 string

Hey everyone! I need to find the best and cheapest way to get Rotosound Swing Bass 5 string set with a 125! The 130 just sounds, or has sounded dull in the past. I've been using Dunlop SB SS or Marcus Miller set over the years and have been pleased for the most part but I'd like to go back to the Rotos. I was raised on them practically haHa!! No other string has that sound and presence quite like them. Im playing a JB passive BTW. The one in my profile pic!
I just need to know the best possible way to go about getting them with the 125.

Roto 40-60-80-100-125 would actually be closer to the Dunlop Super Brights/Marcus Miller 45-125 in terms of tension and overall stiffness/flexibility.

Thanks, I do like the MM Dunlops. Used them many times. Also used the DR LRs years ago, I do like having the aggressive grind!! Also thought about SIT Foundations too.

I have this set on my Stingray 5 now. They call it hybrid. I had the light 35-120 on it, but switched them over to my sub ray5. After trying the light gauge, I was going to go back to the regular 45-130, but MF was out of stock. The hybrid gauge sounds good.

It is my opinion the Rotosound does not make a good low B

May have to try the lighter set, I'm just concerned about the set other than the B string being too light. I won't know until I try!
The SBs and MMSB have served me well but nothing quite sounds and responds like Rotosounds! Just wish they offered a 125 option with the standard gauge. The 130 just don't sound like part of the set to me. But....I haven't tried them in a while. Thanks for your input!!

I got my last set on Ebay. I was using 135's on my Warwick 5 string. After a little adjustment to the nut and bridge string height all is good. I thought that they would feel wimpier but they do not. After our first practice with them on my drummer turns to me and asks what I am doing different and tells me that the sound of my bass has never been better. Of course...he's a drummer so what does he really know...:D

Are you referring to the 40-125 set?
I think, if the drummer notices, then you're on the right track HaHa!!
