I've never had opportunity to try the Roto Nexus strings. But I do know you won't go wrong with a set of SS RS66s on your instrument - they'll give you the tone you want.

If I were playing metal, I'd be using stainless steel strings. There are many good brands to choose from.

Depends if you like coated strings or not. I can't stand them. Lots of people swear by them.

Rotosound 66 all the way. I remember my first set sounding really great, awesome snap back on those things. Different feel to something like an Ernie Ball but not an unpleasant one... And John Entwistle used them, enough said
