Rounds on a fretless?

I haven't tried tapewounds. Does it create a smoother tone?

Very smooth and thuddy. Have them on all of my Rob Allen basses.

after 15 years of rounds on my stingray,never anything else.very little wear and what is there is not worth talking about..could easy do another 15 years imo without having to do anything with it
