I gave the GHS pressurewounds a try last night on my pbass. Very close to what I was after, I was honestly impressed at how much beefier they sounded. I'm very happy with the growl & top end, too.
They don't seem to have quite as much sustain as your typical roundwound, but the punch I'm getting from these strings is more than enough to compensate.

IMO if you only have one bass buy an SX with the flats
It will be closer to real than a multi-purpose string on one bass
